How we calculate

Three steps, always in this order

  1. 01 · Concentration5 mg ÷ 2 ml = 2.5 mg/mlDivide the peptide amount in the vial by the volume of liquid added. 2.5 mg/ml is 2500 mcg/ml.
  2. 02 · Volume250 mcg ÷ 2500 mcg/ml = 0.1 mlDivide the entered dose by the concentration. Both values must use the same unit.
  3. 03 · Units0.1 ml → 10 u on U-100On a U-100 scale 1 ml is 100 units, so 0.1 ml is 10 unit marks.

Units and scales

The most common calculation mistakes

  1. mg and mcg

1 mg is 1000 mcg. If you enter 250 mg instead of 250 mcg, the volume comes out a thousand times larger. Check the unit on the vial and on the dose.

  2. Units are not millilitres

On a U-100 syringe 10 u is 0.1 ml, not 10 ml. A unit describes a mark on the scale, not an amount of liquid.

  3. The U-100 scale on a 0.5 ml syringe

A 0.5 ml syringe has a 50 u scale. A full syringe is 50 units, not 100. Choose the capacity and scale that match your syringe.

Calculation questions

How do I calculate the concentration after adding liquid?

Divide the peptide amount in the vial by the liquid volume. 10 mg ÷ 3 ml = 3.33 mg/ml, or 3333 mcg/ml.

How do I convert mg to mcg?

Multiply by 1000. 0.25 mg is 250 mcg. When you switch between mg and mcg next to the vial amount or the dose, the calculator converts the number you typed.

How much is 1 unit on a U-100 syringe?

0.01 ml. 100 units are 1 ml, so 30 units are 0.3 ml.

How do the 30, 50 and 100 u scales differ?

They describe the full capacity of the syringe: 0.3 ml, 0.5 ml and 1.0 ml. On a U-100 scale each unit mark is 0.01 ml.

What if the result does not fit in the syringe?

The dose volume is larger than the capacity. We then show "> 100" and give the volume in ml.

How are atomizer sprays counted?

We multiply the concentration in mcg/ml by the volume of one spray. The number of sprays in the bottle is the liquid volume ÷ the spray volume.

Can I type numbers with a comma?

Yes. We accept a dot and a comma, and show the result with a decimal point.
